Sick Baby

Molly was fine yesterday. Just had a little runny nose which it seems like she has had all winter. After we got home she felt warm. After taking her temp it was 102 degrees and it seemed her runny nose had gotten much worse. I gave her some Tylenol and hoped that she would be better in the morning. She woke up this morning with dried snot all over her face. Definitely a negative of having a baby with long hair! Her hair was stuck to her face with snot. She also still had a temp. Luckily she was able to stay with Grandma Doris and Grandpa Jack today. I got her a doctor's appointment for the afternoon and Grandma and Grandpa brought her to the doctor's office. She saw the nurse practitioner, who I really like. Turns out she has RSV. It's basically cold but weakens your immune system worse than the common cold, especially in babies. Bad thing is there is no antibiotic they can prescribe. It's Tylenol or Mortin and monitoring to make sure she doesn't get any worse. Thankfully Ninny isn't working tomorrow so Molly is going to spend the day with Ninny tomorrow. Hopefully she gets better soon! Below is a link on RSV.

  1. Was telling Matt Molly had this. He said they were just talking at the firehouse about how it is going around. His Captain (or Lt. I forget which he is), Dan is also a nurse and was saying it is bad right now. Hope she feels better soon. Big kisses and hugs from Aunt Shelly!!
