Holidays and then some

Now that the holidays are over I finally feel like we are back on our normal schedule. It was a great holiday though and I am especially greatful to be able to enjoy them with family and not have to work around a crazy work schedule. Here are some of the things we have been up to since my last post.

We took Molly to the Lighted Parade in Virden. She loved it! Ohhhed and Ahhhed and every float that went by. She didn't care that it was freezing cold out. Here she is on daddy's shoulders watching the parade.

Christmas Eve was spent and Grandma Joan's with the family. Molly Jo had a blast. I think she is the only grandchild (both generations) to not be scared of her Uncles. She was teasing Brain and Mark all night.

Molly woke up and Christmas morning and Santa had come to her house. She must have been pretty good this year. She was excited about everything and wanted it "open" right away. Good thing we have two living rooms because one of them is now Molly Jo's playroom.

Christmas afternoon was spend and Ninny and Bobo's house. A truck load was brought home that day. The kids had a blast playing together.

The day after Christmas was spent and Grandma and Grandpa and Grandma Richardson's house. The girls were spoiled and had a great time playing together and opening their gifts.

We finally got our counter tops last month. I think they look great. The bar still needs a little work, but it's there for now. I do also now have a kitchen sink (it really is the little things that make the difference). I just don't have any pictures yet. We haven't had a kitchen sink since we moved in in September. Luckily we did have a laundry sink that was right off of the kitchen. It's taken awhile for me to get used to having the sink again and not out of habit use the laundry sink. Our shower door for the master shower has been ordered and Tyler is now in search of ideas for a garage. While there is still a lot to do, we have really come a long way!

We spent New Years at home and sadly were in bed by 9:30. Pretty sure that makes us old, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Here is to a new year and all the excitement (me being an Aunt again!!) that will come with it!
